“Organizations like Idaho2Fly are really important — outcomes in cancer treatment are tied in large part to mental health.”
— Dr. Todd Waldmann, M.D., Idaho Urologic Institute
One Film. One Million Reasons.
More than 1,000,000 men are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. each year. (ACS)
Many Men Suffer in Silence
—stoicism is expected, and asking for help feels like weakness
Only 10–15%
of men with cancer join traditional support groups (NIH).
It’s time to change that.
Men actually need a shared purpose, brotherhood, and a safe space for honest connection.
They came as strangers. They left as brothers.
Currents of Courage tells the real story of hope, healing, and brotherhood by following the raw journeys of seven men navigating cancer. Novices to fly-fishing but no strangers to hard days, they step into Idaho's wild rivers under the expert guidance of Idaho2Fly volunteers. This nonprofit runs free fly-fishing retreats to lift men with cancer—building hope, genuine connection, and brotherhood right there amid nature's healing currents.
Help Us Finish the Film and Share Their Story
Your gift covers the final push: finishing filming, post-production, sound design, music, color, premiere venue, and getting the word out. This lets the raw story of Currents of Courage—the brotherhood, the small wins, the way the river helped us keep going—find its way to more guys facing the same fight.
